On Monday, I presented Class Captain Badges to Year 3 students who were unable to receive their awards as they were on camp when our last Junior School assembly was held.

Also on Wednesday, a number of Year 3 students represented the school at the Gateways Challenge team event and won third prize. Next week sees our mid-term and Cup Day break, meaning students return to school on Wednesday 8 November.

Firstly, Year 7 and 8 students take a light-hearted look at the pressure of being a high achiever and how the need to stay focused in a test can push one to the brink of lunacy in High Stakes; then Year 9 students confront a collision of loyalties in Honour Bright; and finally, the whole ensemble expose how success is defined in Wendy’s Tale.

Full of recognisable scenarios that every student (and parent) will relate to, Alan Haehnel’s commentary on the pressure and expectations that come with testing showcases the talents of over seventy of our Middle School students.

We wish all of our families and friends in the Yarra community a happy, safe and restful Christmas and New Year.

We look forward to welcoming you back on Wednesday 31 January, 2018." data-date="" data-thumb="JS_xmascarols2.jpg" data-thumb-list="" data-category="feature" data-type="feature" data-author=""Welcome to the final edition of the Valley Voice newsletter for 2017.
